Large plumes of smoke could be seen billowing across the skies in Bispham
A fire broke out at a waste recycling centre in Blackpool on Tuesday afternoon.
Firefighters from Blackpool attended the fire on Bristol Avenue shortly after 2pm. Crews used foam to extinguish the fire that sent smoke billowing across the skies and spent around three hours at the scene.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said:
“At 14:08, fire engines from Blackpool fire station attended an incident at a recycling plant on Bristol Avenue, Blackpool.
The incident involved a skip which had caught fire.
Crews extinguished the fire using foam and were at the scene for three hours.
