He will appear before Magistrates Court today
A man has been charged with theft offences following an investigation by Lancashire Police.
It is alleged that the man had stolen meat items from an Aldi store in Leyland. He will appear before Magistrates Court this morning.
In a social media update, Lancashire Police said:
“We have charged a man after multiple meat products were stolen from a shop in Leyland.
It relates to incidents at Aldi over the last few days. On Saturday, (2nd November 2024), a 29-year-old man was arrested at the scene.
We can now tell you that Andrew Ritchie, 29, of Leyland Lane, Leyland is charged with three counts of theft from a shop. He will appear at Preston Magistrates Court this morning.
Operation Vulture is Lancashire Constabulary’s response to shoplifting across the county, backed by Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.”
