Ribbleton Avenue Closure Following Road Traffic Collision

The collision is believed to involve a moped

Emergency services are currently dealing with a road traffic collision in Preston.

The collision happened on Ribbleton Avenue with the junction of Grange Avenue in Ribbleton.

Motorists are advised to find alternative routes whilst the road is cleared.

One eye witness said it looks as though the collision involves a moped and one person was taken to hospital.

Ribbleton Avenue isn’t affected you can still travel through up towards Longridge Road on the B6243.

One ambulance and two police vehicles attended the scene.

It is not currently known at this time what injuries have been sustained as a result of this collision.

In a social media post, Preston Police said:

“We currently have a road closure in place following a road traffic collision. This road closure is in place on Ribbleton Avenue junction with Grange Avenue, Preston.

Please find alternative routes during this time, once the road is reopen we will update you. Thank you”

It has since been confirmed to have been reopened.
