Officers from the South Rural Taskforce receieved reports of suspicious activity on Friday evening in Scarisbrick.
They quickly attended the scene and intercepted three males, they subsequently seized a vehicle the offences had travelled in along with equipment used for lamping.
In an update posted this evening, Lancashire Police said:
“Yesterday evening, following a live time report of lamping in the Scarisbrick area, South Rural Taskforce made straight to the area and intercepted three males with Lurcher dogs attempting to evade capture.
The vehicle the males had travelled in was located nearby and subsequently seized along with associated equipment and mobile phones.
The three, who originate from the Tuebrook area of Merseyside, have since been interviewed and reported to attend court.
South RTF have a zero tolerance policy for anyone engaging in these cruel activities, and urge the public to continue to report any suspicious activity observed in our rural communities.”
