The vehicle reached speeds of 120mph in a bid to get away from police
A suspected drink driver took officers on a pursuit through Preston in the early hours of Friday morning.
The pursuit started in Preston when Lancashire Police Road Policing Unit said the blue subaru failed to stop for officers.
The driver reaching speeds of 120mph abandoned the vehicle in Penwortham.
A short time later the driver was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and drink driving. The vehicle was seized.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said:
“This Suburu failed to stop for an RPU officer in Preston reaching speeds up to 120mph before being abandoned in Penwortham.
Driver arrested for dangerous and drink drive. Vehicle seized and also prohibited due to a number of defects.”
