Southport Man Charged With Stealing Meat and Beauty Products From Lancashire Stores

Meat and beauty products were stolen during the thefts from stores in West Lancashire

A man from Southport has been charged with stealing products from stores in West Lancashire.

In an update posted today, Lancashire Police said:

“We have charged a man after meat and beauty products were stolen from stores in Ormskirk.

It relates to incidents at Boots and Aldi in the town yesterday, (Thursday, 31st October, 2024), where it was reported meat products worth around £90 and beauty products worth around £40 were stolen.

A 39-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of theft from a shop.

We can now tell you that Liam Mahoney, 39, of Bath Street, Southport, is charged with two counts of theft from a shop and will appear at Preston Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Operation Vulture is Lancashire Constabulary’s response to shoplifting across the county, backed by Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.”
