The tree luckily didn’t hit anybody or vehicles during its fall this morning
A large tree has fallen down, causing traffic disruption in Lea.
Lancashire Police confirmed that the tree luckily didn’t hit anyone or any vehicles.
Motorists are being advised to find alternative routes as the road is closed for the time being.
This happened shortly before 11am on Thursday morning on Lea Road, between Lea and Cottam across the railway bridge.
Lancashire County Council is working at getting the tree removed, making the area safe, and to get the road back open as soon as possible.

A spokesperson said: The road is expected to be open within the next hour.
Residents took to social media to share images of the fallen tree with one commenter saying its about time the trees had a bit of a trim, they went onto say that it was only a matter of time before they start falling as they are quite old trees.
