Delays of ten minutes expected with average speeds of 30mph
Delays are expected on the M65 heading towards Preston this morning.
The motorway is currently partially blocked due to an earlier accident.
The accident is causing delays between Junction 3 for A674 Chorley Road Blackburn and Junction 2 For M61 Junction 9 Clayton Brook on the Eastbound carriageway.
Traffic is moving slowly with delays of upto ten minutes and average speeds of 20mph.
AA Live Traffic said:
“Partially blocked and slow traffic due to crash on M65 Westbound from J3 A674 Chorley Road (Blackburn West / Wheelton) to J2 M61 J9 (Clayton Brook).”
Lancashire Police have since confirmed that this is a damage only collision with no reports of any injuries.
All lanes have since been reopened and crash moved to hardshoulder confirm National Highways.
