A man concealing a hammer was arrested at the scene and spent the day in custody
A man has been arrested for being found in possession of a hammer that he attempted to conceal from Police.
Officers recieved reports of three males acting suspiciously around cars in Poulton town centre on Monday morning.
Police quickly arrived at the location and identified three males who were all searched.
One man was arrested for possessing an hammer.
In an update posted to social media, Garstang and Over Wyre Police said:
“Very early this morning we received a report of 3 male acting suspiciously around cars in Poulton town centre.
On Police arrival we identified 3 males who were all searched. One was found to be carrying a concealed hammer and thought we wouldn’t notice it, so they spent the rest of the night / day in a cosy cell.
We don’t need to hammer home the message to most local residents, but carrying a concealed hammer around is not acceptable.
Now MC Hammer said “you can’t touch this” – well we can and we did!
We hit this issues straight on its head and nailed it. Stay safe.
