The order will run until the early hours of Saturday morning
A dispersal order has been granted for a second night due to reports of anti-social behaviour in Preston City Centre.
The Section 34 order was put in place on Thursdsy night after Lancashire Police received information and reports of anti-social behaviour.
The Section 34 Order under the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act gives officers the power to disperse anyone, causing issues in a particular area that the order covers and extra stop and search powers.
Anyone who contravenes the order can find themselves arrested.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said:
“We’ve put a couple of dispersal orders in place in Preston this week following reports of anti-social behaviour, and we have another in place this evening.
We are doing everything in our power to stop any anti-social behaviour from happening and to keep you safe. With that in mind, a dispersal order, under S.34 of the Anti-Social Behaviour, Crime and Policing Act, has been put in place until 1am tomorrow morning (Oct 26)
The area this will cover is Corporation Street junction with Fishergate, up the A59 and alone Corporation Street to its Junction with Walker Street, along Walker Street to its junction with the A6, along A6 Stanley Street and London Road to its junction with Queens Street, Avenham Lane.
