A man has been charged with rape following a public appeal by Lancashire Police earlier this week.
An appeal was made for help to track down 32-year-old Billy Willoughby, who was wanted in connection with the serious offence.
In an update posted today, Lancashire Police said:
“Earlier this week, we asked for your help locating wanted Billy Willoughby, and we now have an update to bring you.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of rape.
Billy Willoughby, 32, of Four Wells Drive, Sheffield, South Yorkshire has since been charged with rape.
He has been remanded to appear at Blackburn Magistrates Court today (25th October).
Thank you to all who shared the appeal, we really appreciate your assistance.”
