The road is expected to be closed for some time say Lancashire Police
A road closure remains in place this evening following a road traffic collision.
Officers from Lancashire Police are currently at the scene of the collision in Bowerham Road, Lancaster.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area and find alternative routes whilst emergency services deal with the collision.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said:
“We want to update you and let you know that Bowerham Road is currently closed at the junction of St Oswald Street due to a road traffic collision.
We anticipate that the road will be closed for some time, whilst we make sure the road is safe and clear.
In the meantime, we’d recommend looking for an alternative route and driving carefully, leaving plenty of extra time to get to your destination.
We’ll keep tabs on what’s happening and we’ll update you here once the road is open. As always, thank you for your patience and stay safe if you’re out and about today.”
