A section 39 dispersal order will remain in place until the early hours of Friday morning
A dispersal order has been put in place tonight in Preston City Centre due to reports of Anti-Social Behaviour.
Officers have implemented the order after receiving information to suggest that there has been reports of anti-social behaviour in the city.
The order will remain in place until the early hours of Friday morning.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said:
“We have received information to suggest that there has been reports of ASB in and around Preston City Centre this evening.
We are doing everything in our power to stop that from happening and keep the public safe. With that in mind, a Section 34 dispersal order has been put in place to prevent disorder and allow other members of the community to enjoy the city centre without any issue.
The order runs until 01:00 on 25/10/2024.
The area covered by the order is bounded by Corporation Street junction with Fishergate, up the A59 and along Corporation Street to its junction with Walker Street, along Walker Street to its junction with the A6, along A6 Stanley Street and London Road to its junction with Queens Street, Avenham Lane.
