Police anticipate the road to be closed for some time
A road close to Walton Summit is this evening closed following a road traffic collision.
Emergency services are on scene in Tramway Bamber bridge and have put road closures in place whilst they deal with the collision.
Motorists are being advised to avoid the area.
A spokesperson for police said:
“We want to update you and let you know that Tramway Lane is currently closed due to a road traffic collision.
We anticipate that the road will be closed for some time, whilst we clear the road. In the meantime, we’d recommend looking for an alternative route and driving carefully, leaving plenty of extra time to get to your destination.”
