Detectives investigating the stabbing of a teenage girl in a Merseyside park on Tuesday have arrested a 12-year-old boy.
In a statement released today, Merseyside Police said:
“Officers have arrested a 12-year-old boy after teenage girl was assaulted in Norris Green Park on Lorenzo Drive on Tuesday 22 October.
The victim, a 14-year-old girl who sustained multiple puncture wounds to her buttocks and leg, is in hospital in a stable condition.
Yesterday, Wednesday 23 October, the 12-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent. He has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
