Two lads can be seen tied up by their hands and feet on a quad bike
A farmer who tied two lads’ hands and feet together before driving them to a police station on a quad bike has been arrested.
The incident that is alleged to have taken place at a farm in Trawden, Lancashire, on Sunday morning had been widely shared on social media.
Footage shows two lads being driven on a quad bike by the farmer who is alleged to have tied them up, placed their hoods over their heads before putting them on the bike unsecured and taking them to Colne Police Station.
However, shocked officers who met them outside the station arrested the farmer on suspicion of false imprisonment and assault.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Police said:
“We were called to a remote property in Trawden at 11.26am on Sunday by a man who said he had detained two males.
While police were making their way to the property, we received a second call from the man to say he was now at Colne Police Station with the two males he had detained.
When officers went to meet the man, they found a teenager and a man in his 20s on a quad bike with their hands and feet tied.
They were not secured to the quad bike. A 52-year-old man from Trawden was later arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment and assault.
He has since been released on bail pending further enquiries.”
