A man suffered serious injuries following the collision near Walton Summit
A man has been rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a road traffic collision this afternoon.
Officers were called to reports of a collision between two vehicles shortly after 1:30pm on Tuesday at Gough Lane.
Road closures remain in place whilst investigations continue.
In a social media post, Lancashire Police said:
“We want to update you and let you know that Tramway Lane, junction with Kellet Lane and Four Oaks Road is currently closed due to a road traffic collision.
We anticipate that the road will be closed for some time whilst we assess the situation.
We’ll keep tabs on what’s happening and we’ll update you here. Thank you for your patience and stay safe if you’re out and about today.
Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service are also in attendance saying,
“We are in attendance at an incident near Tramway Lane, Bamber Bridge, where there are road closures in place which are expected for some time.
Please avoid the area.”
