A man in his 20s attended hospital with a stab wound to his back that is believed to be non life-threatening
Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered injuries following a stabbing at a pub in Southport in on Friday night.
In an appeal made today, Merseyside Police said:
“Detectives are appealing for information after a stabbing in Southport town centre on Friday night, 18 October.
At around 12.40am on Saturday 19 October, a man in his 20s attended hospital with a stab wound to his back, which was not life threatening.
The incident is believed to have taken place in the Fox and Goose pub in Cable Street at between 11pm on Friday and midnight, and extensive enquiries are ongoing.
Detective Inspector Paul McVeigh said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed or have since heard about this serious incident, and we are working with the premises to carry out further enquiries.
