Man Suffers Potentially Life-threatening Injuries After Crashing With Bus In Bolton

An investigation is underway following a collision that has left a man with potentially life-threatening injuries.

In an appeal made this afternoon, Greater Manchester Police said,

“At around 9:40am this morning (Saturday 19 October) on Higher Market Street, a male driver had a suspected medical episode whilst driving his car, resulting in a collision with a stationary bus.

The collision resulted in serious injury for the male car driver. A number of minor injuries were sustained by bus passengers, none of which required admission to hospital.

A scene was put in place and the driver was taken to hospital for treatment on his injuries, which are potentially life-threatening.

GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now appealing for anyone who may have dash cam, mobile phone or CCTV footage to come forward and assist their investigation.
