No other vehicles were involved in the collision on Friday afternoon
Emergency services were called to the scene of a collision on in Leeds on Friday afternoon.
The collision happened on Stanningley Road with the junction of Moorfield Road shortly before 5pm.
Upon arrival police found a car flipped onto its roof. The driver of the car, a Toyota Yaris, had left the scene.
West Yorkshire Police confirmed that no other vehicles were involved and no injuries were reported. An investigation into identifying the driver is ongoing.
The collision caused traffic chaos in the area for motorists during rush hour traffic.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said:
“At 4.58pm yesterday, we received a report of a road traffic collision in Stanningley Road, Leeds, near to the junction with Moorfield Road
A red Toyota Yaris, which was the only vehicle involved, had overturned and the driver had left the scene.
Enquiries are ongoing to identify the driver.”
