Handbags and Perfumes were stolen from Boots and TK Maxx during the thefts
A woman from Preston has been charged following an investigation into shoplifting offences in Preston City Centre.
In a post made today, Lancashire Police said,
“We have charged a woman after handbags and bottles of perfume were stolen from stores in Preston City Centre.
It relates to incidents at TK Maxx and Boots on Fishergate last week. Following multiple enquiries, a 30-year-old woman from Preston was arrested yesterday.
We can now tell you that Jessica Spencer, 30, of Kenmure Place has been charged with three counts of theft from a shop and will appear at Preston Magistrates Court this morning.
Operation Vulture is Lancashire Constabulary’s response to shoplifting across the county, backed by Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.
The operation sees dedicated officers undertaking hotspot patrolling, increasing their visibility in targeted areas and creating strong partnerships with retailers across the county to better share intelligence, get a deeper understanding of retail crime and identify more offenders.
