One Person Rescued From Vehicle Stuck In Preston  Flood Water

A car had become trapped in flood water on Thursday night

Emergency services were called to the incident on Thursday night in Sowerby.

Four fire engines from three stations across Lancashire along with a watwr incident unit and drone were dispatched to Sowerby Road shortly after 8pm.

One person was rescued from the vehicle using specialist equipment.

A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service said,

“At 20:19, four fire engines from Preston, Penwortham, and Fleetwood, and the water incident unit, and drone attended an incident involving a car stuck in flood water on Sowerby Road, Sowerby, Preston.

One person was rescued by firefighters who used a sled.
