The 43-year-old man remains in custody awaiting questioning
A man has been arrested after allegedly stealing £300 worth of whiskey from Asda in Skelmersdale.
In an update posted today, Lancashire Police said,
“We have arrested a man following the theft of around £300 worth of whiskey from Asda in Skelmersdale.
We were called to the store on Ingram at around 5.30pm yesterday (Thursday 10th October, 2024). A 43-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of theft and is currently in custody waiting to be questioned.
Operation Vulture is Lancashire Constabulary’s response to shoplifting across the county, backed by Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.
The operation sees dedicated officers undertaking hotspot patrolling, increasing their visibility in targeted areas and creating strong partnerships with retailers across the county to better share intelligence, get a deeper understanding of retail crime and identify more offenders.
