Firefighters continue to tackle huge building fire in Bradford this morning
Emergency services were called to a building fire in Bradford City Centre on Wednesday night.
Flames could be seen ripping through the building that is thought to have started in the roof space.
A cordon remains in place whilst emergency services deal with this incident.
More than 100 firefighters from ten fire stations across Yorkshire attended the fire that happened shortly after 8:30pm at an unoccupied high rise building in Bolton Road.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue said,
Firefighters from across West Yorkshire are currently dealing with a high rise building fire on Bolton Road, Bradford.
Fire involved in roof of 8 storey unoccupied apartment block.
Ten fire engines and two aerial appliances are in attendance.
Residents local to Bolton Road are advised to keep doors and windows closed due to smoke in the vicinity.
Please avoid the area where possible to allow emergency services to deal with the incident.
They have since confirmed that the incident has been reduced to six fire engines.
