It follows an investigation into an 87-year-old man being kidnapped in Oldham and dumped in West Yorkshire.
A man has been charged with various offences following an investigation into the kidnapping of an 87-year-old man in Oldham.
In a statement released today, Greater Manchester Police said,
“Shohad Miah (30/04/2000) of Firbank Road, Royton, has now been charged with the following offences;
Kidnap.
Section 18 GBH with Intent to cause GBH.
Robbery.
Intentional strangulation.
He has been remanded into custody ahead of a scheduled appearance at Tameside Magistrates Court today (Tuesday 24 September 2024).
This charge relates to an incident which saw an 87-year-old man forced into a car, attacked, and thrown out on a dark road in West Yorkshire.
