Man To Appear In Court Charged With Stealing Skincare Products From Boots

A 27-year-old man stole skincare products worth over £200.

A man will appear in court this morning charged with stealing over £200 worth of skincare products from Boots in Preston City Centre.

In a post made yesterday, Lancashire Police said,

“We have charged a man following a theft from a store in Preston City Centre.

It was reported that skincare, worth around £206, was stolen from Boots on Fishergate yesterday afternoon (Wednesday, 19th September 2024).

A 27-year-old man from Preston was arrested nearby.

We can now tell you that Luke Roberts, 27, of West Park Avenue, Ashton-on-Ribble has been charged with theft from a shop and will appear before Preston Magistrates Court tomorrow (Friday, 20th September, 2024).

Operation Vulture is Lancashire Constabulary’s response to shoplifting across the county, backed by Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.

The operation sees dedicated officers undertaking hotspot patrolling, increasing their visibility in targeted areas and creating strong partnerships with retailers across the county to better share intelligence, get a deeper understanding of retail crime and identify more offenders.
