A 16-year-old moped rider has been left in hospital suffering serious injuries following a road traffic collision in Blackburn.
The collision happened on Wednesday night just before 9pm on the A6077 between the moped and a range rover velar.
Officers from Lancashire Police’s serious collision investigation unit are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.
In an appeal made today, Lancashire Police said,
“We are appealing for witnesses after a collision in Blackburn left a teenager with serious injuries.
Police were called at shortly before 9pm yesterday (Tuesday, September 17th) following the collision between an Aprilla moped and a Range Rover Velar on the A6077 Haslingden Road at the junction of Blackamoor Road.
The moped rider, a 16-year-old boy, was taken to hospital with serious injuries and he remains there at this time.
The car driver was unhurt.
Sgt Pete Fyans, of the Road Policing Unit, said:” This collision has left a young man with some serious injuries, and I would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any dashcam or mobile footage to get in touch.”
