The fire happened at a domestic property in the resort this morning.
Emergency services rushed to the scene of a house fire this morning, Monday 16th September.
The fire happened on Holmfield Road, Blackpool, shortly after 11am.
Two fire engines from Blackpool Station attended alongside the North West Ambulance Service. Crews used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. One casualty was taken to hospital as a result.
A spokesperson for Lancashire Fire & Rescue Service said,
“At 11:12 hours on the 16th of September 2024, two fire engines from Blackpool attended a domestic building fire on Holmfield Road, Blackpool.
While in attendance, crews utilised two breathing apparatus and one hose reel. Crews assisted North West Ambulance Service with one casualty who was thereafter conveyed to hospital.
Crews were in attendance for one hour and ten minutes.
