A drugs warrant was executed in the Burnley town centre area on Friday morning.
A man has been arrested following the discovery of drugs and weapons in Burnley.
Officers from Burnley Taskforce executed a warrant in the town centre area on Friday morning and made the discovery during their search.
A significant amount of Class A drugs, cash and weapons were also found.
A 28-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody.
In an update posted on social media, Burnley Police said,
“This morning the Burnley Taskforce have executed a drugs warrant in the Burnley town centre area and seized a significant amount of Class A drugs, cash and numerous weapons.
A 28 year old male has been arrested and is currently in police custody, where he will be interviewed in due course.
We will continue to listen to the public and drive our targeted activity around what really matters most to our communities.
28-year-old Naeem Iqbal has since been charged with possession with intent to supply a controlled drug, Class A and offences under the proceeds of crime act. He will appear before Magistrates Court on Saturday.
