Man Charged Following Oswaldtwistle Burglary

Operation Defender is a force-wide campaign that aims to combat residential burglary with support from Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.

Officers investigating a residential burglary in Oswaldtwistle have charged a man from Accrington.

In an update posted today, Lancashire Police said,

“We have charged a man following a burglary in Oswaldtwistle.

The burglary happened on Wednesday 28th August, 2024, on Scott Close, Oswaldtwistle. Electrical goods such as computer equipment, mobile phones, a gaming console, and a laptop were taken, as well as two wrist watches.

Following enquiries made by the East Residential Burglary team, on 10th September 2024, a 29-year-old man was arrested and questioned on suspicion of burglary.

Dean Evans, 29, of Norfolk Grove, Accrington, has since been charged with burglary in a dwelling and has been remanded to custody. He will appear at Preston Crown Court on 23rd October, 2024.
