Two People Critical After Car Smashes Into Trees In Preston

Three people remain in hospital with two critically ill and a third in a serious but stable condition following the crash.

Investigators are appealing for anyone with information after three people suffered serious injuries in a collision in Preston last night.

In an appeal made today, Lancashire Police said,

“We are appealing for witnesses and footage after a road traffic collision in Preston in which two people suffered serious injuries.

The emergency services were called at 10.55pm yesterday (10th September) to Chain Caul Way – between Leeward Road and Nile Close – to a report of a collision.

Our officers attended and found that an Audi A3 Sport which had been travelling towards Lea, had left the carriageway and collided with trees.

The driver – an 18-year-old man – and a 16-year-old boy who was a rear seat passenger, both suffered serious injuries and are both in a critical condition in hospital.

A front seat passenger – a 17-year-old boy – suffered serious injuries and is in a stable condition in hospital.
