13-year-old Jahziah Coke was found with stabs wounds at an address in Oldbury on Thursday.
Detectives investigating the death of a teenager in Oldbury, West Midlands have charged two teens with murder.
In a statement released today, West Midlands Police said,
“We’ve charged two teenage boys with the murder of a 13-year-old boy who was fatally stabbed at an address on Lovett Avenue, Oldbury, on Thursday.
Jahziah Coke, aged 13, was treated by paramedics, however, despite their best efforts, he sadly died.
Jahziah’s family are being supported by officers at this tragic time.
Today his mother said: “Jahziah was a very polite, kind and family-orientated young man.
“He was very loving and always smiling. His smile would light up the room. He was very kind-hearted.”
Last night, two teenagers who were arrested on Sunday were charged with Jahziah’s murder. They cannot be named for legal reasons.
A man in his 40s who was also held yesterday was charged with assisting an offender.
All three are being held in police custody before appearing at Birmingham magistrates today (Tuesday).
At this stage, we are not looking for anyone else as part of our investigation.
We have been carrying out CCTV enquiries in the area, but also need to hear from anyone with dash cam, doorbell, CCTV or phone footage that might help the investigation.
