Police Appeal After Man In His 80s Left Seriously Injured In M6 Collision

A man in his 80s remains in hospital in a serious condition.

Lancashire Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a man was left with serious injuries following a collision with a HGV.

In an appeal made today, Lancashire Police said,

“We are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered serious injuries in a collision.

We were called by the ambulance service to the Forton Services on the M6 northbound near Lancaster at shortly before 4.30pm yesterday (Monday, September 2)

A pedestrian in his 80s suffered significant injuries after he was involved in a collision with a Volvo HGV.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Sgt Dan Gunn, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “This incident has left a man with some really significant injuries, and I would appeal to anyone who either saw what happened or who has any dash camera or mobile phone footage to get in touch.”
