Man Suffers Life Changing Injuries In Longsight Stabbing

A cordon remains in place this morning on Dickenson Road whilst investigations continue.

A man has been rushed to hospital with what police are describing as life-changing injuries after being stabbed near Longsight Market.

The incident happened last night when GMP received reports of a man being stabbed on Dickenson Road, emergency services descended on the scene, and a 32-year-old man was taken to hospital.

A cordon remains in place this morning as investigations continue to establish the exact cause and to find those responsible for this incident.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said,

“At 10:30pm last night (Monday, September 2) we were called to reports of a stabbing on Dickenson Road, Longsight.

“The victim, aged 32, was taken to hospital for treatment.

“His injuries are believed to be life changing.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances and identify those involved.

“Anyone with information, or who witnessed this incident, or may have dashcam/CCTV footage, is asked to contact police on 0161 8564259 quoting log number 3728 of September 2, 2024.
