A car had failed to stop for armed officers on Monday afternoon in Fulwood.

Meet Police Dog Ebony, one of Lancashire Police’s many crimefighting landsharks, helping to keep the streets of Lancashire safe from criminals.

A vehicle that failed to stop for an armed response unit in Fulwood on Monday afternoon took officers on a pursuit through the streets of Preston before abandoning the vehicle near Asda in Fulwood.

PD Ebony and her handler were deployed to help track down the driver after he had run away from the vehicle.

It didn’t take PD Ebony long, and within minutes, the offender was tracked down and located hiding nearby.

In a post on social media, Lancs Police Dog Unit said on X,

“You may have seen an increased Police Presence around the Asda area in Fulwood on Monday afternoon.

This was after a car failed to stop for our firearms officers. The driver ran off and was lost.

PD Ebony arrived, and within 2 1/2 mins, he was located hiding. #trustthenose #teamwork
