A man from Bradford was arrested and charged and has since been bailed to appear before Preston Crown Court in September.
Detectives investigating the sexual assault of a teenage girl in St. Annes on Sunday have charged a man from Bradford.
In a statement released today, Lancashire Police said,
“Some of you may be aware that there was an incident in St Annes on Sunday afternoon, and we wanted to give you an update.
We were called at shortly before 4pm to a report that a teenage girl had been sexually assaulted by a man on the street.
The incident happened on St Leonard’s Road West between the junction of St Andrew’s Road North and St David’s Road North where the girl reported she had been approached by a man and touched inappropriately. She is being supported by officers.
Following enquiries, we arrested a man, and he has now been charged.
Mohammed Uddin, 53, of Lodore Place, Bradford, is charged with sexual assault and breach of a sexual offences prevention order and appeared at Lancaster Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday, August 28th)
He has been bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on September 25th.
