“Officers believed it to be a modified e-bike upon a brief examination” say Lancs Road Police
Lancashires Road Police came across the fast food delivery rider travelling down the hard shoulder last night.
The incident happened on the M6 near Preston when officers came across the bike where the rider was using the hard shoulder as a route to deliver fast food.
In a post shared on X, Lancs Road Police said,
Brief examination on the hard shoulder led officers to believe this to be a modified E-bike with presence of extra motor and throttle taking it outside of EAPC legislation.
Power output on the bike falling into moped category and required license and insurance, which the rider didn’t have.
Rider summonsed to court, bike seized, and further examination to establish its legality.
