Police Appeal After 86-year-old Man Left Critically Injured After Being Struck By Truck

A man has been left in hospital in a critical condition after a collision in Oldham.

The collision happened on Wednesday afternoon when an 86-year-old man was reportedly hit by a truck on Manchester Road shortly after 12:30pm.

He was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition.

In an appeal made yesterday, Greater Manchester Police said,

“We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage, following a serious collision on Manchester Road, Oldham at 12.36pm today (Wednesday 21 August 2024).

It was reported that a truck has collided with a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, an 86-year-old man, has been taken to hospital where he remains with serious injuries.
