Two Arrested For GBH After Man Suffers Knife Injuries In Huddersfield Pub Fight

Two suspects have been arrested on suspicion of causing grevious bodily harm after a man suffered knife injuries following a fight at a Huddersfield pub in the early hours of Sunday morning.

In a statement released today, West Yorkshire Police said,

“Detectives are appealing for witnesses after a man received knife injuries in a serious assault in Huddersfield.

Arrests have been made and enquiries remain ongoing today following an incident in the Hart Bar in Huddersfield in the early hours of Sunday August 18.

Police were called at 2.40am by the ambulance service after a 38-year-old man was found with knife injuries on Kirkgate.  He was taken to hospital for treatment to an injury which was serious but later deemed to be non-life threatening.

It was established he had been injured in fighting which took place inside the Hart Bar at about 1.30am.

A police scene was established and, following enquiries, officers arrested two men aged 29 and 37 on suspicion of grievous bodily harm.  Both remain in custody.
