Two men have so far been handed the longest sentences yet for their involvement in disorder in Hull.

First up, David Wilkinson, 48, was handed a six year prison sentence after pleading guilty to violent disorder, racially aggravated criminal damage, and attempted arson. He was also subjected to a five year criminal behaviour order upon release passed down by a judge at Hull Crown Court.

This follows on from disorder that erupted in the city during UK protests on Saturday 3rd August.

John Honey, 25, was handed a sentence totalling four and half years, after pleading guilty to three counts of burglary, violent disorder and racially aggravated criminal damage and was sentenced to four and a half years. He was also issued a five-year criminal behaviour order.

This follows on from disorder that erupted in the city on Saturday 3rd August where Honey was seen hopping from shop to shop during a looting spree helping himself to items from various shops including Lush, O2, Shoezone and Greggs.

Violent disorder broke out following the horrific stabbing in Southport on Monday 29th July where three children sadly lost their lives after being attacked during a Taylor Swift themed dance class in Harts Road.
