A man has been sent to prison following his involvement in disorder that happened in Blackpool as part of nationwide protests that had seen some UK towns and cities blighted with violence.
In a statement released after sentencing, Blackpool Police said,
“This is the moment Roger Haywood was arrested for his part in the disorder in Blackpool almost two weeks ago.

Whilst the resort was busy with families enjoying the weekend, Haywood spouted abuse, encouraged others to be violent and assaulted our officers who were there to keep Blackpool safe.
Despite singing about how much he loves England, he caused havoc in his own town, ripping the shutters up of a store in the Hounds Hill centre, before assaulting a member of their security team.
He led a mob through Blackpool and beckoned them to breach our police cordon, intent on disorder.
Today he has been jailed for 30 months.
