Police have launched an appeal following a collision that left two people with serious injuries on Thursday afternoon.
In an appeal made today, Chorley Police said,
“We are appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage after two people suffered serious injuries in a road traffic collision near Withnell.
Our officers were called at 4.08pm yesterday (August 15th) to Bolton Road, Roddlesworth, Withnell, to a report of a collision.
They found that a VW Golf travelling in a northwest direction on Bolton Road, had collided with a BMW car and then with a second BMW.
The driver of the VW Golf, a woman in her 40s, suffered multiple injuries and is in a critical condition in hospital.
A man in his 30s, who was driving the second BMW, suffered a serious back injury and is being treated in hospital.
The driver of the first BMW was unhurt.
