Two men have been arrested following the discovery of a woman’s body in Lancashire.
The grim discovery was made this morning in the Blackpool area close to Gorton Street Park.
Gorton Street in the North Shore area of the resort was cordoned off with a large police presence at the scene. An ambulance was also in attendance.
The area of focus by investigating officers and forensics was in an old ambulance vehicle where it is thought the woman’s body was discovered this morning.
In a statement released this afternoon, Lancashire Police said,
Emergency services were called to Gorton Street, Blackpool at about 9.30am today (Thursday, August 15th) following reports of a sudden death.
Officers attended and sadly found the body of a women in her 20s. The death is being treated as unexpected and is under investigation but is not deemed to be suspicious at this time.
Two men both in their 60s have been arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug and have since been bailed confirm Lancashire Police.
Enquiries are continuing.
