Four Arrests Made Following Discovery Of Cannabis Grow In Blackpool

Police in Blackpool discovered a cannabis grow in the early hours of this morning, which led to the arrests of four suspects.

In a social media update, Blackpool Police said,

“Four men are in custody after the discovery of a cannabis growth in Blackpool.

Our officers were called at 1.44am today (14th August) to a property on Hawes Side Lane, Blackpool, to a report of a burglary.

A number of cannabis plants were found at the property and there was evidence that the electricity supply had been bypassed.

Around 2am, a BMW car was stopped on Preston New Road, near to the M55.

Later, a VW Touareg was stopped near to junction 37 of the M6 in Cumbria.

Four men – aged 34, 30 and two aged 24 – from Middlesbrough, were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

The 30-year-old has also been arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply.

They are all currently in custody.
