A 56-year-old man has been arrested by officers investigating alleged offences of stalking.
Lancashire Police launched an appeal to the public for help to trace a man in cctv footage following allegations of stalking against victims in the Blackpool and Burnley area.
Following that appeal this morning (Monday 12th August), a man has been identified, arrested, and taken into custody for questioning.
In a social media update, Lancashire Police said,
“Earlier today, we asked for your help identifying a man we wanted to speak to as part of an investigation into stalking in Burnley and Blackpool and want to bring you an update.
A 56-year-old man has since been arrested on suspicion of stalking and remains in custody.
Thank you to all who assisted with the appeal.
