Police forces across the UK are on high alert amid protests across the country planned for Saturday.

Protests so far have seen violent clashes between rioters and the Police in the last few days in wake of the knife attack on a dance class in Southport that claimed the lives of three young girls Alice Dasilva Aguiar, 9, Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, and Bebe King, 6 injured many more.

The horrific attack took place on Monday, 29th July, shortly before midday on Hart Street.

17-year-old Axel Rudakubana, born in Cardiff who lived in Banks, Lancashire with his parents, has since been charged with three counts of Murder and ten counts of Attempted Murder, alongside being in possession of an offensive weapon. He was remanded into youth custody to appear before the Liverpool Crown Court in October.

Prime Minister Sir Kier Starmer held an emergency meeting with Police Chiefs on Thursday to discuss Law and Order and has vowed to implement a Specialist Violent Disorder Unit to tackle the violence and bring those who take part in such thuggery to justice ensuring that they face the full force of the law.

So far violent clashes have taken place in Southport, London, Hartlepool and Sunderland with officers under attack, rioters threw bricks, bottles, wheelie bins and set police vehicles on fire along with flipping vehicles and setting them alight, a police station in Sunderland was also set on fire on Friday night.

Hundreds of arrests have been made for various offences of violent disorder, assaults on emergency workers, offensive weapons, and arson.

Multiple officers suffered injuries from broken bones, lacerations, facial and head injuries during the violence, including Police dogs sustaining injuries.

Communities that violence erupted in came together to clean up the mess made with many claiming that protesters undertaking violent clashes are not representatives of the areas and most travelled in from out of town to carry out their violent behaviour.

Protests in Liverpool on Friday night seen thousands of anti-racism demonstraters turn out to protect the Abdullah Quilliam Mosque with leaders handing out food to those that attended.

More protests are scheduled across various locations over the weekend with Police saying that they are aware of more protests planned over the coming days and we have officers on standby to deal with those intent on causing violence in our towns and cities.
