Whittingham Lane Crash Sees Woman Arrested For Blowing 5 Times Over The Drink Drive Limit

A woman who was involved in a collision between an HGV and two cars in Preston on Tuesday was arrested for failing a roadside breathalyser.

Officers from Lancs Police Specialist Ops required the driver to provide a sample of breath for analysis, which came back with a staggering reading of 177mg of alcohol, five times over the legal limit of 35mg.

In a social media update, Lancs Police Specialist Ops said,

“On Tuesday 23rd July at around 1:55pm we were called to reports of a collision between a silver Ford Mondeo, a HGV, and a parked car on Whittingham Lane, Preston.

The driver of the Ford Mondeo, a woman in her 30s from Chorley, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving after blowing 177 at the roadside, over 5 times the legal limit.
