Fire Extinguisher Sprayed At Traffic In Warrington

Police in Cheshire are appealing for information after nuisance riders sprayed a fire extinguisher towards live traffic.

In a social media appeal, Cheshire Police said,

“Police in Warrington investigating an incident of anti-social riding in the town centre and have released CCTV images of four men they would like to speak to.

At around 1pm on Monday 15 July 2024, two motorbikes, with two men sitting on each, were spotted riding at dangerous speeds and on pedestrianised areas on Winwick Road, Winwick Street, Liverpool Road and within Warrington town centre.

The men were also spotted spraying fire extinguishers into live lanes of traffic and directly at members of the public.

As part of their enquiries, officers have now released CCTV images of four men they would like to speak to in relation to the incident.

“This behaviour is completely inexcusable and I would like to reassure local residents that enquiries are ongoing to identify those responsible.

“We want to establish exactly what took place during the incident, and we believe these individuals hold vital information, so if you recognise the identities of any of the men pictured, please get in touch with us.

“I would also appeal directly to the men pictured to contact us.”
