A man has is due to appear in court following a report of rape in Dean Road Cemetery in Scarborough on 21 July.
In a social media update, North Yorkshire Police said,
“The 18-year-old man from Scarborough who was arrested following the report, has been charged with rape.
He was remanded in police custody to appear at York Magistrates Court today (23 July)
We continue to appeal for information and witnesses from anyone in the area overnight 20th -21st who believes they can assist with enquiries
