Firefighters are currently dealing with a commercial building fire.
The incident is ongoing on Padiham and motorists are being advised to avoid the area as crews tackle the blaze. Roads around the Holmes Street area are currently closed.
In an update posted to their website, Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said,
“At 11:14am on 19th July 2024, fire engines and the arial ladder platform attended an incident on Holmes Street in Padiham.
The incident is still ongoing with road closures in place so please avoid the area.
In a social media update, Burnley and Padiham Police said,
“We’re currently at the scene of a Fire which has closed WYRE ST, LUNE ST and HOLMES ST in BURNLEY.
We anticipate they will be closed for some time. We’ll provide an update once cleared.
